the strange thing is that it ran for bout 15mins and then did this when i was moving it round the yard so thats y it makes me think that its valve!! but i dont really know to much just guesing!

right then lee............ i have pics!!!!!!!

the engine in:-

if we undo this pipe here off the industion pipe and cover it the revs drop so its sucking air from the air filter down here!!!!!!!

this pipe splits off 2 ways, one is to this valve :-

this is by the right hand side of engine at top!

the other way is to this one, which has 2wires coming off it through plug also coming off it also, we taken both bits off and blown air through then all ways, this one u can see air through but not sure if thats normal only small hole, but then it opens up freely just never conpletly closes!!

this sensor is by left hand side of fuel rail

back at work today so not had much time on the engine.........

rang vaux before work and they were not sure but said they wud look into it, range after mornig shift at 3 and they thought it was the air flow control i think they said and they had one in but it was for a customer....but i could come take it and c if it made difference instead of spending out £65 for new one then finding it was not that!

got it back and no difference, local lad from garage came over to take a look at 5 and messed about with things then took the wires off the switch we were messing with and idle dropped, connected it bakc up and still idles perfect!!!! sorted

still had the battery light on on the dash, after messages to both leem michel and kev bradford both who have been massive helps and have not got alternator sorted, not got rev counter or water temp yet but fan is cutting in so thats main thing!

thanx to everyone for there help!! getting there, bonnet on in the morning and will take car to work for test run! iaz
