thanks for that mate...

he says

"the amp has been taken to an electrician and has been confirmed it wont power up...

my guess is...

he has it sitting in the boot without being conected to a wiring kit

or

he has the wrong gauge wiring kit

The gauge of the loom has nothing to do with whether it will work or not.

Its not your problem at all, and you could just say unlucky if you wished.

If you want to offer him a solution, ask about the wiring and what he's done so far to wire it up.

Its not out of the question that he's blown it up while fitting it, or that its developed a fault in transit.

Im a sparky mate - it would power up even if it had 1.5mm cable on it - it just wouldnt produce sound for very long

Its probably the fact that theyve not connected the REM cable up to their headunit.

thing is, has he left you feedback yet for the auction

if he has and its postive i wouldn't worry to much

if not then try and be helpful to him, with some tips/advise make some effort but theres not much you can do really say..

Be friendly, try to work it out, but if it was working when you sold it I'd say he's blown it himself

Just keep mailing the guy suggestions, wiring diagrams etc

If the guy leaves your uncle a neg you can appeal to ebay to remove it

Well mind was kinda similar, had someone saying it wasnt as described had marks on face but there were big pics that showed its true condition. She claimed through paypal that i hadnt sent it after i didnt offer a refund, but had prof of postage and was cleared. Never herd from her again and she didnt leave feedback.
