I have a couple of games that just wont work online on my PS2 and ive never been able to figure out why. I just came from playing sniper elite online and socom 2 online so i know that my connections fast as it always has been.
Trouble is - Burnout 3 wont connect, it just locks up and wont go past the DNAS page and ProEvo 5 connects but then when it gets to the testing network environment page it just sits there and wont do anything else.
Any ideas why?

I use Pro Evo 5 online on the PC, which needs a router port opening. I'm not sure if it's the same for a console. Probably isn't, as it would use the same port as the playstation itself.
It is a tricky one... that's all i could think of
