Do 205 1.6 gtis make good track project or is there point when you can have a 1.9?

205 is ok if you like evil lift off oversteer

1.6 is slow, 1.9 is ace, buy a 1.6, keep it as a daily driver for a while, then lob an Mi16 lump in when you can afford to insure it

yeah id settle for a grey one, none of them either. i see your point loo goblin, i dont like buying a car then knowing i could have gone better though.

weve had this discussion, id rather buy a car i can work on top of rather than replacing everything step by step

theres a white gsi in classifieds. 2.0 though. so I guess its not a gsi

As for the 205, 1.9's are wicked, alot more torquey than the 1.6 as they have a different bottom end. Plenty of tuning potential too

1.9 is same block IIRC, with a spacer on the sump to clear the longer rods, as the bore is the same, only stroke differs

get a 1.6, 1.9 crank and rods..... you know the rest
