I think the wages are warranted. Look at how much work they have to do for the money. A few hours a day training, 2 matches a week at best, couple of appearances at local events a week. That warrants £50,00 a week in my opinion.
I also feel sorry for them, just look at what Sol Campbell has been going through. He must be so depressed at his £100,000 a week pay packet and the fact that his bank statement cant fit all the naughts on his balance.
Oh, and there is the even more depressing incidents of fans asking for autographs. That must be really hard work, having to take 30 seconds out of your life to sign a bit of paper for someone who pays your wages. Tragic, perhaps they might catch a disease off them too while they are signing an autograph.

in my personal opinion football players do get paid too much. there arrogant arses who think there something special but there not. you never see a rugby player falling out of a night club in the sun but football players get so much bad press because of how much they get paid
i dont deny that footballers arent talented. im sure they are, but they need taking down a peg or 2
