If either of both parents are wolves then yes you need a licence
If its bred down the line then no
This gives more information

Cool dogs!
My neighbour has an Alaskan Malamute dog, it's ace!
Although it howls all night when it's cold, keeps me awake
I think he wants to get a male dog and breed them in the future.

In section 7.4 of that PDF is mentiones that a licence is required no matter what % of wolf is in the breed - northern inuit breed included.
Do you worry about the risk of dominance attacks on you or your child? I've always wanted one as a pet (ever since Deifenbecker (sp) on Due South, but the risks somewhat put me off.

At the end of the day, its how you bring them up. Imo the DDA is wrong because its not the dog its the owners. If dogs are trained to fight then they will fight. Dogs do not automatically fight. If for say you take my dog jack, he doesnt like other dogs, he will go for them. So we take measures, he's walked on lead, muzzled when taken to vets, and when he goes of lead, we travel up to scarborough to the woods. You just take measures. And as normal he wasnt born to hate dogs, he was attacked when he was a puppy.

No never i have 100% trust in my dogs.
Out on walks my dogs have NEVER threatened any other person or dog
They even once got out onto a camp site and started joining in a game of cricket with some kids which was hilarious
They love people and if you read up on them it even mentions that under no circumstances are they any good as a gaurd dog.
They absolutely adore people and anyone who has met them will say the same. They only look scary because they are big.
That aside any dog is just as capable as the next of attacking out of the blue, and my bloody rats are more vicious!

they are awesome people dogs, have got 2 malamutes and a huskey. ours think they are people. do not trust them with other animals though. the huskeys kill count stands at 5 ducks, 3 chickens, 2 lambs, 1 goose with 2 more injured, numerous mice and rats and the aftermath of a white rabbit is not very nice, rob zombie would be proud.
