thought 48's were best for an XE, also, get the hammer out for the bulkhead.

xe will run on 40, 45 or 48's depends on the scope you want to tune to

wont' run 40's they max at 170BHP, so less you want to run it asthmic stylee they don't
erm, max with out was rumoured to be around 220-200 on the GRP N engine specs aka std inlet.
The BTCC cars nwo are restricted to a 57?? mm throttle and are making 260ish.
a 20mm aprecture is enough flow for 107BHP of air and a 34mm is good for 300BHP. (random facts)

tbs need to be no bigger than 42 for around 300hp. Carbs need to be bigger as they are chocked down (most folk with 45s only run 38mm chockes!!)
Max power without will be about 210, and available between 6000 and 8500
Max roadable with this config is about 180, between 4500 and 7250
Max power on carb or tbs is the same and around 300hp, but completely useless on the road, wouldnt want to go much beyond 250 tbh TBs will obviously drive far nicer than carbs every time.
