me and the mrs are thinkin of going to cuba this year in nov, its past the hurrican season then, hopefully

what injections do u have to have before going etc? and is it worth it? got prices for 4 * all inc, for 799 for two weeks.

been to Dom Rep twice, and both St Lucia and Antigua once each.

The first time we went to Dom Rep we had about 5 different shots, then malaria and some other tablets each day. That was about 14yrs ago now though, so is better these days. The other three times I havent had anything, or taken any tablets and have been fine.

I would ask your docs though and get what they offer, as otherwise if you do come down with anything it'll ruin yur hols!

Also, Nov could be risking it if it has a hurricane season like last yr!!

They should tell you at the travel agents, i went mexico last year and just had a malairia (sp) jab and one another one which was tetnus i think as i aint had one for years.
Ring your Gp to make sure

i wouldnt go all inclusive mate, i was just away in november there, cyprus was 5* AI thought great but the food wasnt the best, dissapointing infact. hotel was nice enough, lots of old people at that time of year and no night life everything shutting down etc. will be trying to get away a few long weekends instead this year. might get a week away in the sun if i am lucky as well

Some of my mates didnt either mate, when i rang the gp she said i needed the tetnus anyway so got that aswel

AI is def the best option in the Carribean, as if you venture out and eat in the local places you have to be really careful what they are like as food isnt kept to the same standards as we would expect even the worse places in the UK to. Although it is good to go out and try to find some of the good local places as the food can be amazing!
