as part of my brother xmas present i said i wud sort his wheels out on his 206gti, they are just kerbbed and in need of little tlc!

after finishing off the astra few days ago finally got some time to do few of my jobs, yesterday sorted me pug 106 out and thats in for mot now, today started messing with my astra and also fitted saxo spoiler to gsi one for mate, all inbetween shifts at work, tonight got home at 9, had brother wheels off the car and cleaned them up, rubbed them all down, then filled the kerbing marks the deep ones, rubbed them all till nice and smooth, now have masked the wheels up, done 3 coats of primer!!

waiting till they dry now, then off to do couple of coats of metalic silver then laquer after that!!! doing them over night means he wont go without his car, but is tiring for me!

i gotta be at local vauxhal garage at half 8 tomorrow to get some parts then be at work for half 9, then finishing off mending my astra tomorrow afternoon with dad! fingers crossed the little pug 106 will have passes mot, not holding my breath!!! then i will have some progress on the VX220, yes u did read that right i have finally started doing the vx220 again, i plan it will be done in 2 weeks time! i started again on it yesterday tho....hehe

soooooooooooo busy, not sure how long i can keep this up!!!

i got 106d for everyday car, the alternator only works when its warm tho it seems, and have VERY wobbly wheel till few days ago when we swapped rear beam!!! i hate the car but sooooooooooo good on fuel!

ummm, sould not need to rub down after each coat of primer, just give it good rub down before u but the colour on!!!!

tonight i just did 3 coats of primer, 3 basecoat and gonna pop 2 coats of laquer on, not rubbed down inbetween coats at all cos i dont have time, wud get betta finisih if i did but its just quick job to tidy them up will take pics tomorrow when back on the car, will just freshen the wheels up!!!

got the silver dead cheep also cos i bought 5 litres!!! i used...........wait for it! 300ml tonight, ummm just another 4700ml left to use!!! hehe

changing the brake pipe and heater hose in next few days!!!!

oh yea more good news, pug 106 passed mot, and astra is back on the road!!! going betta then ever but just lack of grip on from wheels, still managed to stay on the bumper of a pretty new looking porche carrea4! he was just easying ahead but was still impressed, not to sure he was!!!

in the end i gave vauxhall the chassis number and they found the code, i hope its the right one, bought enough paint to do whole car if its not! gonna keep it the origional yellow but customise few things, like prop leave the V grill off and leave bages off to start with, do the wheels black, and round the windscreen black little like the lightening yellow edition ones!

thanx for the info on colour codes, shame i had thrown wot was left of the drivers side sill where the code was away!!! hehe
