Bought an ex demo car on 01/11/05, 05 plate with 5000 miles on it. the exhaust rattled, the oil light was on, saying there was too much in the car. i phoned the garage and they sorted it out within a week...supposedly. They told me the oil had been drained, refilled and the sensor replaced - the oil light still came on every time i start it up. The exhaust still rattles. I took the car back again....same old bs. It has been back in today. they finally told me that i need a new back box and they heard a squeaking noise from the dash. Now they're going to need the car in for investigation for 2-3days to check it out.

I have now had the car for just under 3 months, and done 2000 miles in it. Do i have any chance at all, because of the problems i have had with it, to get a full refund, if not a most of my money back (because of extra miles etc)???

from a dealer? Did you have any warranty with them?

Normally they will have to repair the car if something is wrong with it. But I doubt their is any chance to get your money back.

the dealer is legally bound to fix it, im unsure whether you are entiltled to a full refund. get them to throw in some goodies rather than pissing around with money

Yeah. It was bought from a peugeot dealer, coming with full inspection (albeit theirs) on delivery.

Like i say, when a car is just over six months old this shouldn't be happening, so im just a bit pissed off

I think you gota give them 3 chances to fix the problem then you can start taking it seriously, not 100% though

Well working for HONDA we dont see this very often but occasinally it does happen.

You will never get your money back unless the car wasnt as described or they refuse to fix the goods. But of course they will always do that.

Check your paper work to see if you have a 30 day exchange deal with the car. Most dealers offer this as franchised standards but dont say lots about it just in case things like this happen.
