NTL doesn't use ADSL (it's cable). UKonline's website might just be estimating they can offer 2Mb (or they might put you on an unbundled loop and offer you upto 8Mb)...

To be honest I'd just go with NTL cable and get 10mbit

AOL's number database is out of date, and always is...

I was at 1mb with them, requested 2mb as BT said the line was ready... AOL sent me a letter saying they couldnt do it and i had to be downgraded to 512kb as the line was not to spec...

emailed them & contacted BT, put the facts straight, then aol were like Ok...

2 weeks later, I get an email from AOL saying ADSL was not supported AT ALL on my line due to another service being on the line...

so rang AOL... said about the email, they said ADSL was not available at all on my line... asked them to see what connection I was on at the moment, they said 1mb dsl... said so does this work?? they said no it doesnt and I should be on 56k...

incompetant fooks! finally got 2mb tho...
