Is it a requirement to have access to the boot?


As right now I still havent sourced a solenoid kit and to open it, requires from the inside of the boot

no, as my xe with semi smooth had no solenoid and was ok...

Might want to check for a spare i dunno ? mine was done at my bro in laws garage

i know of a ax that failed on rear doors not opening, but that was from both inside and out
