or an Ibiza Cupra?? Same spec as the golf for less money, I am biased though.

To put it in perspective theres a 25th Anniversary 02 plate Mk4 golf for sale near me. BBS rims, 180bhp, recaros, brembos etc and its up for £12995!!!!

My 51 plate Ibiza Cupra-R, rarer than the golf, same 180bhp engine, leather, brembos so basically the same car, £6750!!

Im going for mid range 130 Gttdi if i had to choose the derv! 1.8 T maybe group 14 - 16! however the 125 bhp 1.8 gti is only group 10 or 11 insurance! + quite cheap to insure

I got a golf 1.8T All recaro heated leather, tints and 17'' santa monicas that may be up for sale soon. Had a full custom remap and is running just over 230bhp!!

iv just got a leon 1.8t fantsatic 180bhp. cant wait to get tuning the beast. defo get the golf 1.8t

As above, unless you fancy getting a turbo'd Astra and having fun with 'typical' GTI drivers

Oh, and don't get me started on the subject of Volvos. Look in my garage -- enough said...

Could get a GT TDI 115 bhp and get it remapped to 150bhp. nice performance for low insurance

iv'e had both 1.8T and a chipped 115 GTTDI golf the diesel was a better car by far.even though the 1.8T had lots of nice extras

whats the 2.0ltr gti like? its less insurace group than the 1.8t

is it a better spec on the turbo`d one?

there is nothing at al better about the 2.0 than the 1.8t or any of the diesels

all have done over 100k


seen a 2ltr gti, black with 62k for £4000

umm 5k aint alot really for a golf there still holding there money well.1.9D are good cars aslong as it aint got the sdi engine.
