got a cheque today off the inssurance for my car, but it says they havent acepted liabiulity, they are saying they are sending it out without prejudice basis. and if when they investigate the calim further it turns out to be my fault they wil want the money back
now hang on a min, i wasnt the one who reversed out onto a main road and into someones car
and how do they exactly expect to get it back once i've spent it
its been 2months since the accident and they stil aint accepted liability because of a problem with his side of the insurance or somthing
anyone been in the same situation?

it took me 8 months to get paid my excess back after a norfolk council vehicle hit me and they pissed about with my insurance
i got paid out for the car imediately but i am fully comp
had to wait for the council to admit liability then wait again for them to deciede to send the cheque
surprised that your insurance have paid out already. must have good reason to think you are in the right but did they not discuss value with you?

i am only TPF&T. the guy reversed out his drive onto the main road i was on, straight into my car :wanker: its his insurance that have paid the cheque. so they dont have to carry on paying the hire car. as i was given a hire car. the guy i spoke to on the phone yesterday said "we are confident it wil be all sorted shortly" now what does that mean?
either way i'm cashing the money on monday then when its cleaered going buying a car, i shouldnt see why i should give my hire car back then be at a totall inconviniance while i wait for them to accept liability.

Well they shouldn't give you the cheque if they think you might have to give it back, once they give you it they shouldn't except it back
