theres a certain way of doing it, it's either got a bastard type clip on it or it needs to be turned one way then another in a different direction???

Is this on the gearbox or behind the dials?
Am i correct thinking this cable goes to the gearbox?

just pull a lil bit and it should pull some slack and then you can clip it off

Swapped today, plugged the cable onto the GSi dials and nothing is working, well lights are etc...
No Speed reading.......
Is there a different type of cable on different models?
Have checked the cable is spinning and thats all fine!
No Rev counter.......
This works electronically i guess?
This mean my corsa doesn't have the correct electrics for the Rev counter?
Or is there a fuse missing etc?
Any help appreciated was fun driving home guessing my speed

Are your Gsi dials electric or mechanical?
To find out, check the speedo. Down the bottom it will either say W=1850 or K=....
For the rev counter, you need to tap into the pea green cable at the ECU, behind the driver's kick panel

all gsi clocks are 10-140mph and mechanical.
easy way to tell is:
mechanical dials start on 10mph
electrical dials start on 0mph
