I need a pop up blocker as keep getting loads crap on our system

Use the windows one. Works a treat. Install SP2

download adaware to get rid of any spyware, make sure you have a decent firewall and then use firefox for browsing or get hold of a decent pop-up blocker!

Sounds to me you want to run a spyware/adware check.
check out the new Windows Live Safety Center should help.

IF your getting pop ups as soon as you start internet explorer, you'll want to install Microsoft Anti Spyware

I cant install SP2 on our system it fcuks it, need an alternative

urrhh... no. clean your system first, before you start install blockers etc.

have tried using spybot and a reg cleaner still getting loads pop ups

Installing a pop up blocker will only block some of the pop ups, but all the spyware/adware will REMAIN on your PC, slow it down, execute pop ups etc.
therefore it is better to clean your PC first
