Its out of warranty in March so I need an excuse to buy a Monaro anyway. They're loosing mega money. Be rude not to at least test drive one while mine is on a ramp.
surely if it's still under warranty it won't cost you a penny to have it fixed

I've been out in a Holden Commodore last year in Australia (virtually the same car as the Monaro), very nice and comfortable to drive!
I don't really like the Monaro though to be honest, when I move back I'm going to purchase a Ute with the same engine!
Current one is about £17k brand new last time I checked!

Ute also has same front end and interior as Commodore/Monaro by the way.

there is a large difference between the normal CV8 Monaro and the VXR Monaro, they actually have different engines. 5.7 is the LS1, 6.0 VXR is the LS2. LS2 is a better engine, and revs more freely than its smaller brother. Also, it would be more sensible to put any upgrade money towards a Harrop charger then the sky is the limit in terms of power. Worlds most powerful driftcar is an aussie LS1 Commodore with 1400bhp

It'll be a normal standard one, can't afford to go silly with it. I'm thinking first page of Autotrader Low->High, and there's no VXRs on that page!!

Warranty is up in March, plus its a pain in the ass having to take it down there.
