actully the evo could be beaten by a saxo 1.4 depending on how you drive it

The above statement would only be true if the saxo was being driven by the stig, and the evo be a 4 year old (with out a booster seat)

It was a guy who asked me for my msn as he had a pic in his profile of a car that was at Max Live and I liked it, was going to ask him more about it but he didnt know anything about the car, claimed he had sold it on and got a saxo that would piss over anything but said only him and his pals knew what engine was in it
seen the feature of the saxo anyway as its a scottish car so knew it was a furio 1.4!

obviously the 18s make it faster, and the chrome finish on them also increases its performance

was the 400bhp evo in reverse by any chance? then the spaxo might have a chance

There is an element of truth in what he's saying, but you can't always win everything this way. Stig in a Saxo won't beat a fourteen year old in a an Evo if there's no bends.

I've got many examples of normal cars beating quicker stuff, mainly because some of my friends, one in particular had 300ZX/GTiR/Skyline GTS and I kept up with him in my Astra, mainly because he was a terrible, terrible driver with no idea what the car was doing and even less will to find out.

On the straights I was left behind of course.

I've also been in cruise convoys and been behind stuff shouting at them to get out the way, specifcally last Monday an MR2. It was wet and he was all over the place, and I was behind him in a FWD car with ESP light flashing away, but the car was a bit tidier so I was able to brake, steer and flash my headlights
