Have been told that when you do this it throbs like fcuk and the quickest way to relieve the pain is to get a red hot needle and push it thro your nail...makes me cringe at the thought. And you may get a nice squirter...of blood.

this happened to me in october .. 2 days before i went on holiday i hit my finger with a hammer at work .. finger was throbbing like hell overnight and so i went to a&e and the melted through my nail ... suprisingly it didn't hurt, it actually felt great to let the pressure off my finger
... broken my wrist snowboarding before .. also when in canada at uni i was playing volleyball and i landed on someone elses feet after spiking the ball and bent my ankle onto the gym floor. did a 2nd degree sprain on it and tore all the ligaments, would have been better to break it

I got something similiar on my toe, it stayed bruised for about 3 months? Then the toe nail came off completely.

I've scrapped half my face off falling off a bike, went down a steep hill and tied to use my face for a brake! Knocked myself unconscious at the time. also had half a touch knocked out with a cricket ball, it flipped up off an indoor mat and broke it clean in half.
My brother is worse, he races motorbikes and rides crossers when the seasons finished. He put himself in intensive care a bit back when he KO'd himself into a tree, had to be air lifted to hospital. He's had pins in his tibia and fibula from smashing it on a kerb, broke his collars bone a few times. But the worst pain he says was a dislocated shoulder. He went on an indoor track on his crosser with a few mates, his bike broke down so borrowed his mate which was a bigger bike, ended up going too fast over a jump and did a superman but without holding onto a bike and landed on the floor! smashed all his armor as he was quite high!

I went to hospital when I had a fingernail like that, they poked a red hot paperclip through it to reduce the pressure on it and my nail fell off...
As for my worst injury. My collar bone isn't attached to anything
