... has anyone ever smoothed the door handle into the door (so they're joined)?

I was gonna do this at the weekend, spray the handles then fit them and mould them into the metal part of the door with fibreseal or summat like that and then spray over them again. I dont want de-handled doors cos loads of people have them.
Just an idea though.

cool, its just something i thought of as a small project as cars come de-locked as standard these days but i've never seen a blended in handle.
