i have been offered a corsa gsi for my saxo vts ( ) but the guy doesnt have the logbook for the car , just the new keepers supplemnt in the previous owners name , would yous stay well clear ? or would you take a chance and send off for the papers?

What would yous do?

Well... for one i own a 1.6 Corsa but i wouldnt swap a VTS for one mate, you'll hate the loss in speed i reckon

Its a mk1 R plate Vts few bits and bobs need doing. Really miss my corsa turbo and wanna do another 1 !

Sounds a bit dodgy but I'd rather have a Corsa GSi than a Saxo.

Also hope its not a straight swap? GSi wont be worth as much as a VTS so would want some cash your way!

Get him to get the log book sorted then do the deal

I bought my car without the log book. It came in to a dealer and the previous owner had lost the log book so I just applied for a new one. Doing it privately could be a bit dodgy though as the bloke might not even own the Corsa hes trying to sell!

very dodgy indeed, dont bother & steer clear, or tell him to come back as soon as he gets the logbook in his name & compare the details against his driving liscence...

im dunno what to do , meant to be going to see it tonight , is there no other checks i could get done if i got it? what if i went to the police and askesd info on it? would they give me it?
