I shot down to Luton to pick up some bits for the white wonder on Saturday morning

Im travelling down the m1, now the conditions detiriated very very quickly, hard hitting snow falling on a wet surface combined with Mist and low lying fog.

I adjusted my speed accordindly to a safe speed for the conditions - but low and behold people were still tailgating at 90+mph in the outside lane.

How there wasnt a pile up is beyond me.

Driver control is the key thing when driving in bad conditions but noone adhears to it.

This is very true.

Then you have something as well called Califionian ice which is very dangerous that really catches people out.

Its scarey to think that generally speaking our standard of driving in the uk is better than most of Europe as well

Its not just BMW's however its a vast genre of people.

I just could not believe my eyes to be perfectly honest.

If i was in an unmarked car i would have had a field day.

i know buddy, but you do get alot of people in these "executive" type cars doing crazy speeds because they think theyre better than everyone else on the road and that their cars can handle anything, which they cant.

in my experience its usually corsas, saxos etc doing this! When we had the bad weath few weeks ago traffic on the inside lane didnt get above 40mph, visibility was shit and car was sliding a bit....the amount of chavs in the outside lane coming flying past me doing over 80mph was amazin! Type of drivers who dont have much experience, but think they know everything there is to know about driving!

dont see that many little cars doing it i dont think (they do in normal conditions like)

in bad conditions i stay in 1st lane, because i know my car simply cant handle it, and if it starts to slide or whatever ill have trouble saving it.
