I was looking at a clio at my local auction, and it was a bailiff sale, found out the car was picked up at customs as it was transporting drugs, so if i bought it i would have to apply for logbook. Seems like common practice, but what do you need to do and how long does it take?

doesnt have to mean somethings dodgy with the car, could be that it had a private plate on and then needed new log book for new plate.

But what stops you going to your local post office and getting a form and filling it in with any old cars details, and then getting a log book for it, even if the car isnt yours?
