Was told that I would be better to run in my new subs by using a low freq bass note on a cd.

Is this true?

If so where ca I find one?

You wont break anything by not running them in.
Go to www.realmofexursion.com and click on the downloads...
Loads of test tones on there.
Get the 0db 1s.. These are a similar volume to music, they will come in handy to setup your amps.

I have never run a sub in for any reason other than loosening up the suspension and surround.
The louder you play it the quicker it will run in...
Don't give it any clip though!

So should you run subs in or?

I'm wondering what to do with mine? Installing them soon and duno if I should just play tunes from the go or specially run them in?

I just dont play my music at full blast for the 1st 3-4 weeks and never had a problem with mine.

i was getting mixed advice whether to run them in or not, but i did any way for peace of mind.

i mean, why not run them in? you're only prolonging the possible outcome of deafening yourself, an extra fortnight.

To setup ure sub and give it a run in you should download the 50 hz tone m8
