You can buy the relevant part from vxl for about £85 to change it to hydraulic.

how hard were the mounts and shafts on the mk4 astra let? use the 2.0 ecotec gear?

Shafts and hubs were the originals from my 2.0 Sri.
Mounts were a pig. You have to drill and tap the block on the driver side.
MAke a mistake and the engine is useless.
Gearbox needed drilling and tapping too, but it wasnt a big deal as that was done when converting the box to 2wd.
Think there are 5 mounts all in all.
Wiring seemed to be a pig and old ecu was needed to retain engine temp function on dashboard.

Custom mount would get made for that no matter how mad or stupid it looked

would like to get a mk4 astra LET eventually, as the mk3's are gettin a little dated..

my f28 has already been tapped after i converted it to FWD for the gsi

Doesn't the gearbox need to be cable operated too, rather than the older style assembly?
