I know this sort of topic has has been posted before but i want to find whats the best drink for me at this moment in time?

I am 5ft 9inch, average build (some fat here and there ), 11st 9lbs. Age 20.

My goal is to lose fat in the normal areas, (belly / arse / etc) and wanna tone up.

I dont wanna be massive, want to stay at roughly 11st 7 - 12st 3ish... wanna be nice and toned for when i go on holls in 6 months.

I will be doing fitness, jogging 2-3 times a week (2-3 miles each time). And i will be joining a gym with my m8 doing a mon/wed/friday of the normal stuff like legs/shoulders/arms etc etc.

So what will be the best protein drink for me? i just want a little aid to help the muscles heal after a good session in the gym.

Remember my primary aim is to lose fat, tone up and feel and look healthy.

What do you recommend? any tips?

Do little cardio only keeps you fit, so use that to warm up then use some lifting to produce muscleh, Go to holland and barrat and explain to them your goal, they will sort you out with a decent protein drink (at least the ones local to me are very helpful) But you need to change your entire diet to a higher protein intake if you wanna see decent gain.

For the final month you want to try some Sculpt, from LA muscle for definition and removing the last bits of fat and adding abit more leanity to your muscle

ive had loads of it, chocolate is really nice just like chocolate milkshake. Normally have it first thing in morning then after a training session. Can use either but i prefer skimmed milk.

Cheers, i dont have any holland and barret near me. Like i said i will be joining a gym soon, they should help me out in there, just wanna get some advice from others before the people in the gym try selling me their protein stuff for commision just wanna find out whats best for me.

Yes i will have to increase my protein intake into my diet, but i think i will find it hard to eat loads of protein every day, a shake will just keep me topped up.

I've tried a fair few protein drinks and heard opinions on most and the best I have tasted is Roy Duvals, some may be slightly better for protein content however but unless you are hardcore and worry about a few grams of protein then it does the job. Think it has about 40g's of protein per 100g.

Tastes just like nice milkshake.

Good point. Try not to take anymore than about 40g of protein at any one time.

I take two shakes a day. One is a weight gainer which I take in the morning and provides about 500 calories and one after exercising which is a whey protein supplement.

I have been training properly for 3 years now and I can tell you now, dont waste your ££ on brand name protein. Get some whey protein powder, unflavoured, no fillers etc etc. You can get some good deals from www.bulkpowders.co.uk For more help and info, join up over at www.muscletalk.co.uk, loads of ppl there to give u help and experience on your training routine, diet etc.

buy a tub of protein suppliment , take it at breakfast and at lunch and tea for a week

then take it immediatly after training , absorbs into the body.

buy some creatine too , take this the same way just an hour before training.

to be honest if your not going to look at your whole diet and change that adding to it with protein drinks, etc. wont really do too much, and could have a worse effect (for example if your having too much protein when your not bulking and trying to cut)

i take creatine , and protein and eat a fairly decent diet .

have 14% bodyfat and a decent build .

i go boxing - train 3 times a week on that then do weights in the gym 2 times a week

i usually go for a jog for an hour when i can be arsed
