Just on my way to a mates house to link up for a rave to the NEC last night, on the M1 ontop of the Tinsley Viaduct, booosh, no power, then engine cuts out. Tried to turn it over and it sounded goooooooooood.

Quick phone call, and mr usher turns up with elasticated tow rope and off we go.

Thank fook it was my clio. Towed it with the Corsa, its the fastest my little clio has ever accelerated ROFL

Engines out of the Corsa very soon anyway, so it would be no great loss if it was that! Infact it would be been cheaper and more convienient! Bah.

I dunno, its an 8v, I might of been lucky and missed everything. Need to whip the head off. As its a very late Mk1, it came with the multi point injection engine, you can put a 16v head off a new shape 1.2, so might as well do that.

Nah and absolute worst case, an entire engine isn't going to cost the earth!

I can probably lay my hands on bitsfor next to nothing, and want to keep it the same engine as its my work bus. But if I do need a full engine and I'm having trouble I'll drop you a line!

I'm ready for another engine, not be more than £100 I don't think. Mr Usher can prolly slap it in, in next to no time.

This will be its third engine!

Update, just got a new head, pistons were marked, but thats OK. Cost me £210 for a head, headset, timing belt kit, streach bolts, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, plugs, water pump and some CV grease.

Should be running tommorow, Mr Usher just got to skim the head we got and slap it all together. Considering its getting a full service too its not cost me much. Should feel a lot nicer than before.
