F355 F1 personally

But the RS200 is something that facinates me beyoung belief....the tick over on one of these is seriously lumpy sounds dead mean

Also the ajustable Diff and Sierra Dashboard kinda gives away that the money was spent elsewhere than the interior

It just so happend that i was watching a DVD at work today where Stig Blomvist drove all the group B cars, and he said the RS200 was one of the best balanced and overall the best package of the group b era
Don't they have true 50/50 weight balance? The engine is pretty much centrally mounted too. I guess they can't be that bad handling hey?

Need to educate the misfortunate in the ways of the precious cars.

And can't have bad things being said about God's own preferred form of transportation.

537 Torque is over 550 ib ft though.

Alan Fenwick's Evolution had considerably more than that and a very cool number plate to boot (A200 EVO).

The car and engine were developed and prepared (no expense spared) by Mountune, and Graham Hathaway Racing.

If you watch the 'Too Fast To Race' DVD, there's a Hathaway prepped 200 featured in it.

I saw Graham Hathaway drive Fenwick's car at the Brighton speed trials on the half mile course in 1993.

The car spun all four wheels (fitted with slicks) off the line and wiped the floor with almost every other car, and was second only to a V10 Judd engined ex-F1 car as fastest car of the day.

The car was immaculate and simple looking in plain white with the elegant motorsport tarmac split rims, but was truely monstrous to witness in action.

It held the Guiness world record for 0-60, 0-100 and 0-100-0 for approximately a decade, and is to this day, still the fastest thing i've ever witnessed first hand.

I want one so badly it hurts.

Spot on Ed - weight distribution is perfect.

The car was built purely to win rallies and was designed to fly level, or tail down when jumping, dependant on the angle of attack and type of take off.

The 200 is better developed and built than any Italian exotica though, and infinitely safer in the event of a collision, especially at high speed.

They are actually immensely reliable as they were built to deal with very grueling and harsh conditions and usage.

They can be shockingly fast too - Kevan Kemp's (Severn Valley Motorsport) development car from approx a decade ago could easily crack 200 mph and could reach 60 from a standstill in 2.1 seconds.

Acceleration beyond that point in any gear was equally terrifying, but the car was completely reliable and docile when driven as such.

The only down side was it's 2.2 mpg thirst at full boost.

WTF is everyones obsession with modern ferraris and lamborghinis? they fall apart daily, and dont compare in anyway to such a rare car
