I have one, not actually sure of the difference in weight...but there's a huge difference, i noticed the car to be quicker.

if it helps i managed to pick mine up with just my little finger, then it started to slip so i had to stop in case i broke it.

My std extended one is 28.79lb
before treatment to show (2 more resin layer) 6.173lb
and now is at 7.9lb...

nice drop
but i would like to know
the aftermarked bonnets weight
to see if the money is worth it

because vibrio is old and moans alot he clamined that a carbon bonnet would be no good in a crash

ians reply was based on the fact if that it should matter if the bonnet is made from steel/carbon/chocolate as its not a structul part of the car

The bonnet only really absorbs impact when you run somone over, it is the only thing that stops thier head slapping against the block. If you have fitted a 2.0 engine then you don't really care about that.

and if you have a silly turbo power engine under the bonnet, when you crash its gonna damage it big time carbon bonnet or steel either way its gonne fuck it up
