Looking to get sat nav soon, and am wondering what is the best one to go for and best value? thinking of the tom tom 300, think this has more features than the tom tom 1 plus can get for same price.

any recomendations? pros cons of other sat navs and tom tom??

cheers
Mark

mate try going into halfrauds, you should be able to go in there and have a play with them, get a feel for them and see what one you find easiest to use. Dont have to buy it there, but its better to try before ya buy sorta thing as some are much harder to use than others.

TomTom is the best IMO. It has the best interface I have used on it, it's nice and simple to use and I have never had a problem using one. I have tried a few others and them maps they produce seem fairly complicated in comparison. Not what you want while driving along!

definitely tom tom, i sell these in work and would recommend them over everything!
They can show speed camera locations for around £50 a year subscription, although to use the mapping features is free. they are so easy to use, and altogether a fantastic piece of kit. I will say, keep clear of the navman 520, we have had loads of problems with our display unit, it freezes, and is also much slower than the Tom Tom in terms of typing, ie. it brings up the egg timer after every letter, trying to think of the location you could want, while the tom tom is instant.
Hope this helps!
