makes me sick having to fill out all these forms etc when people drive em as a std 1.2 and pay no tax or insurance. i know of several nova's round my bit that are like that. the police do know what they are looking at. theyre not that stupid now. i found that out with me old corsa when they demanded i check my windscreen washer fluid level (odd i know), knew what the lump was in the engine bay, straight away wanted insurance docs which i happily provided and all was well.
seriouly kids - dont put a bigger engine in your car if you can afford to insure it. its making it more difficult for those of us who pay the rates to insure a car fully legit, after you have written off 3 houses, 14 people and a small boys pet turtle named george. dont do it, its not big and clever to commit insurance fraud.
dpenends also what car engine is from and a lot of placces charge more if the car was originally a base model lower spec'd car, as in jumping from 1litre 60bhp to 150bhp is 2.5x increase in power, whereas 106bhp 1.6 to 150 bhp is like a .5 x increase in power.
