a-jones trust me ull notice big difference between ur x16xe and c20xe.
my mrs has w-reg 1.6 sport and i have had my c20xe in since march i drive both regular and when i get is mrs i think to myself WHERE HAS THE POWER GONE. its like x16xe has no throttle responce and below 3k is sluggish, once it picks up there ok.
but u can put ur foot down in c20xe in any gear at anytime and ur off its so great, i love the torque to driving through town traffic is flowing ur im doin 25-30mph in 5th gear which is about 1200 rpm and it still pulls fab engines
