yeah BP Ultimate is shite too. Optimax seems the best, car runs so much smoother, even more so on this new stuff. pulls much harder on kickdown too

yeah i'll admit BP Ultimate is shit, its only 97 ron however, wen optimax is 99, also tesco superplus is shit too.

esso superplus always used to do be quite good at 97ron but considering the esso garage down my wat has been bought out by bp i'm back on the 95ron for the time being, alltho total do super plus now? and theres one of them local... so might give a tank of that a trial

fckn ace!

here in holland the only shell topfuel is shell's V-Power wich they claim to be 98RON

however it's barely 97RON
if i need some good fuel i need to boot it to germany where 100RON fuel is one of the most common things..

Would it not be possible to remap it to run on 100RON?
I know that when Volvo Tuning do the upgrade on the T5, you can have it mapped for 95RON (280bhp) or 98RON (304bhp).

yeah you can get a better performance margin from RON figures by setting the management to keep timing advanced, but the knock sensor is more than adequate to adjust this itself

You lucky sod!!! I would kill to be able to get that. I have to use Optimax and 90ml of NF Octane booster to get 101RON! Pain in the arse when theres a big queue in the petrol station and I hold everyone up!

Yeah thats right , it will need re-mappign to run on it , chucking it in you will hardly see any major gaines. There was that feature in Auto Car a while ago about cars not designed to run on higher ron fuels killing the engine out right , was mainly vauxhals aswell.

My car on other hand would finnaly drive right if i put it in (again had it mapped up on that fuel)
