They conned them into thinking they were going into space...but wouldn't they wonder why there was no G-force?! Dunno how they were fooled into it, although i'd probably have been fooled also

As far as im aware, the actual program is not live. They finished recording about a month ago, the reason being is because if they got busted and the cat was out the bag, they would have an expensive program being a complete failure so they recorded it all before so that if it did fail they wouldnt have aired it.
Plus the fact there are rumours that they are all actors in there (a few of them other than the two 'moles' in there are actors and have been in adverts before) which makes it seem like the joke may actually be on the public.

I read this in the paper as well. Show is a joke
