Why, because he can afford a more expensive car than you!?!?!?

I think you'll find that someone who bought an £80k car paid a shed load of tax when they paid for the car. And anyone doing heaps of miles pays a load of tax via fuel duty and VAT. If you don't like it, walk!

Its not just company cars that are taxed on emissions. Its any car registered after 2001. If you went out and bought a new car now, you'd be taxed depending on the emissions, not engine size.
I might reregister my car as a 1.3 though. Fuck paying £170 for a laugh

I think I have driven my car about 7 times max since I got it, majority of days it sits outside my flat doing feck all and I still gotta pay tax
Dont really bother me really, I save up for 6months £10 a month so its nothing really when I go to tax the car

If they are new cars then yes. There are a few different bands of tax for cars now. It's all explained on the DVLA website funnily enough.
