had a play with another 1.6 Corsa tonight black lowered alot with 15s and just a smooth boot, not sure whats been done to it, basically off a roundabout going right he got traction big time as i booted off it i was spinning had to back off or would hit the curb... then down the dual carriageway i slowly pulled closer until i passed him at about 70, so what im trying to ask is, are 15s really that much better than 16s ?

maybe he just had a bit more weight, better tyres, different suspension. who knows
in my opinion there is no way a 15 will grip that much better than a 16

i have had 14's , 15's , 16's and 17's on my corsas over the years and would take 15's everytime
not much in it though, must have just been the driver

16" and 15" wheels will have the same outside rolling radius unless you specificly have very low profile tyres on the 15's... You will have a greater un-spring mass which will take a little bit more to get going if you have 16's though.

Agreed.
Mate had an old civic, he had two sets of rims for it.
17" Lensos and 14" Honda Mugen Racing rims.
The 17s gripped so much better than the 14s round roundabouts and tight bends!

seems like he had more of an idea how to control his throttle, hence allowing him o pull away, you can have all the power in the world but if you cant use it properly someone with little power will beat you.

not much difference between 15 and 16's.
best for handling are 15's but theres hardly aything in it tbh.
17's are shite for acceleration and handling.
