What are the legal requirements to be insured to drive any car and what do you have to change on your details? How much is it generally?

just check your cover note still says it, as alot of insurance companies changed their policy on this and didnt inform people about it!

it has to be fully comp on someone elses policy, ie, the owner of the other car
you cant drive 'any' car on your own insurance if your covered 3rd party any car unless the other one is also insured as said...
its usually written in the policy T&C's or general questions book

read through your policy handbook, the other car does need to be insured fully comp under the owners own insurance policy

it doesnt have to have insurance on the car if its not left on a public road.
the driver needs to be insured to drive it and can do so as long as u dont park on a road and leave the car unattended if u leave the car it becomes uninsured
ur best having ur documents with u tho if u get stopped to prove ur insured as they can take the car
