as sed above would a decat pipe make your car flame on gear change or gearing dwn?as me m8 sed it would?

flames are cause when fuel is ignited in the exhaust. So you wouldn't be able to see the flame without de-catting it....but its actually caused by the engine overfueling or overunning and dumping fuel into the exhaust.

it would need to be overfuelling, or fuelling after you back off the throttle

with standard engine management/ map, it wouldnt flame

if its chipped it may do, but doubtful, it either needs to be highly tuned, broken, or have a turbo really

i've had decat on my 1.6 and straight through exhaust on my 2.0 and no flames...

so NO..
