This is what im lead to beleive as well

Id like to point out also silicon hoses "pop off" easier than the standard ones

Well yea, race cars use aluminium pipes. Surely if silicone hoses were so good they would use them...

but std pipes can expand and contract more, especially when on about air pipes ie boost pipes.

proper turbo cars use metal boost pipes anyway just siliocone joiners
