hey there i was driving along the motorway the other day and pulled out to overtake. put the foot down a wee bit and my engine managment light came on! the car was still running the fine! car still starts fine! the only thing that is wrong is that the alternator is over charging could this cause the engine managment light to come on? As u can telli'm not very mechanically minded!

would not of thought so it just could of been a slight misfire or something the car picks up on something every now and then
