I know that, and thats what she is saying. I would of agreed with it aswell, but I dont see why we should let the fuker get away with basically trying to bully her into accepting the blame when he was totally in the wrong.

Start a vigilante group and get the cunt

Im sure your girlfriend is strong enough to say that no it isnt her fault. She may just possibly not want to make a big deal about it when she could resolve it simply by just buying a new mirror.

Oh, I know she isnt quiet at all, infact she is a loud mouth who doesnt normally take shit off anyone, 4yrs with her has shown me that!! But its a bit different when some guy rings you and lays all this shit on you sayin they'll claim for this and that unless you drop it.

It might make him realise that he isnt going to bully her into accepting the blame and drop it. So he either decides to pay out of his own pocket, or whatever.

And yes, 90% of taxi drivers round here are. Why?

The thing is though, this isnt your battle its your girlfriends and if she want to make the claim then im sure she will but the claims that the taxi driver is talking about will just be a scare tactic.

Seems like its got to you more than it has to your girlfriend.

No she is as mad as I am, but is scared he will claim for everything under the sun as he said he was going to. And I know its not my battle, but seems she asked for my help I might just offer it!

Call the cunt up and give him some shit, just lay it down and tell him to pay up otherwise you're going to let the police handle the situation and you have several witnesses from the scene who can verify he was in the wrong.

If he claims then she loses any no claims bonus she has and her premiums go up when it comes to renewing and she claims then her premiums will still go up all over the cost of a wing mirror

not it it was decided that he was at fault, which he was!

Its not just the point of claiming though, its more what would you do if you were threatened/bullied into accepting blame cos the other driver is threatening to claim for everything? Would you want to drop it?!

Didnt say it was going to be abusive...would be to find out if he is serious about what he is saying, or would prefer to accept the blame and settle out of insurance.

He's lying. You can guarantee he doesn't know who the hell his passengers were and they won't be claiming for injury. Did he take them to the hospital? Bet he didn't.

This is bullshit, you're a pussy if you let the foreign cunt get away with it, sorry.

Yeah, I know he is definitly lying, as he wouldnt drive away if his passengers were injured for starters!

If its upto me he wont get away with it....one way or another anyway. If she doesnt claim and just pays for the mirrors herself then we know which cab it is and Im sure his mirrors might break easily.

this happened to me about 3 years ago, just go to the police station(you should have gone asap) and explain what happened. they will get you to fill the police report in and will ask for a drawing of what happened.
when i spoke to the policeman he said if i could get some photos of the location where it happened it would help my case.
after 8 days the guy admitted it and got done from driving off and i claimed against his insurance.

It certainly is a crime, but it also has some subsections worth reading as defence.

Section 170, Road Traffic Act 1988 - You must stop if there is injury or damage, you may only not stop if under subsection 6 you report the accident at a police station or to a constable as soon as possible and within 24 hours. If he has continued working or returned to the office for a brew then he has failed to stop or report and is guilty of an offence.

http://www.opsi.gov.uk/acts/acts1988/Ukpga_19880052_en_8.htm

Although its not illegal to leave the scene, this has to be in order to report it at the next available opportunity, which he doesn't appear to have done.
