it's just something about where the two stories run parallel and how it'd be different if they'd done something else at the party earlier

USA Today reports that Titanic, the top-grossing movie of all-time, returns to DVD on October 25 in a three-disc "special collector's edition" ($30) in the USA. (Fans in Europe, Australia and Latin America will get to pick between a two-disc special edition and a four-disc deluxe collector's edition.)

All three versions feature a nine-minute alternate ending to the film, never before seen; a branching feature that lets viewers access 50 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage as they watch the movie; and three new commentaries, one from director James Cameron.

The three- and four-disc editions also come with more than 45 minutes of deleted scenes, including the passionate kiss between Jack and Rose and the couple's final moments together.

The second and third classes revolted and took over the First Class lounges and staterooms. Anarchy prevailed, and thugs armed with handles from deck chairs stormed the bridge and beat the senior officers into submission.

During the melee, chaos ensued and watchmen left their posts to defend the bridge. The helmsman, injured and stunned during the attack, still didn't see the ice field until it was too late.

The laternative ending could have been better
