on way home i got pulled by cops cos apprently my exhaust is too loud. The officer that pulled me said i need to get it tested at a VOSA station to mease the db. I have a cat back stainless with a 4" jap box on my 1.0, surely its not too loud ? anyone know how much test will cost ?

was well annoying, and cant be arsed gettin a silencer fitted cos itll sting me no doubt and i like exhaust how it is

i hope they dont start testing this more,as i would say ines over the legal limit but mine was built by a special police officer so i guess he should now how loud it should be,but when ever i see a old bill car i always hsut the throttle down to keep the sound down

i thought there wese no clear guidelines, and it was down to the officer to decide if the car was too loud or not

Im sure this is the case for MOT perhaps there is some other by-law that states if your car is green and your driving on the left hand side of the road and there is a field to your right with 2 cows in it your exhaust must be no louder than [insert your own db level here]
