have bought an XR3i as a run about whilst ive got the money in my pocket for a new car. only problem is im unsure what car to get for about £4000 here are a few options.

Astra coupe 1.8
Astra SRi 2.0 (engines the same as z20let without the blower, soon fix that!)
Astra mkIII GSi (fast,but old)

all are vauxhalls cos i used to work on em so i know what they're like for interior, handling, and power. hav'nt really thought about anything else so would like a few sugestions please.

all need to be group 12 or under for insurance (astra 3 gsi is cheaper to buy so leaves more money for insurance.)

MK3 GSI fast? You have a lot to learn mate They are quick nae fast

I'd say a WRX scooby but seeing as only group 12 it's a tough one..Paul probably got the answer although i hated my old GTI after a while
