I think she means where the first payment isnt higher than the rest of the payments? When I took out my policy with elephant, my payments are £50 a month but first was £70 if that helps

I had insurance with Noriwich Union running away nicely I ended end of october and instead of carrying it on they have cancelled it now I have no insurance and they wont let me carry on with my last one i need to start a new policy and I dont have the money to pay out a large sum.

did they not renew it?

i had probs with this, was meant to renew automatically unless u tell em but it didn't,

Arent they menna send u a renewal quote and u decide if u want to renew it? thats how its worked with me

they were supposed to renew it automatically i got the cover note and that through but they didn't take the money so i phoned them up and they told me it was cancelled it was someone from India or something didn't have a clue. Im pure raging cos ive been driving about with no insurance.

thats exactly what happened to me, most annoying part is during that time u could be earning some no claims discount

directline have now stopped renewing automatically
