Do coppers have to pull you over to issue you with points and a fine?
How do you ask for photographic evidence?
Do there have to be speed camera signs which I know there was none?
Essay
Coming to work this morning coming down Edge Lane to get onto the motorway and goes around a band at around 40 (it's a 30), see a Police car with another car behind it looking like it's been pulled up but for some reason i slam on and jump into the left lane. Then whe i pass i see a guy playing with a lazer gun. Makes sense now why the car was behind the Police car.

if you get done, you can ask for a cert to say that gun is configured correctly.

yeh there has to be one as far as im sure ALTHOUGH ones round here dont have them (only fixed to the van)

This was a Police car and no speed camera signs  Only those watch your speed ones

No they don't photograph you with the laser, thats why there was a squad car with him cos they catch your speed then the other car pulls you over.

They're always out there, popular spot. They normally will pull you on the day although they don't have to. If they already had someone pulled over its unlikely they would be still recording speed of other cars, but they might if there's enough of them.

First time i've seen them at that spot although i can see why they are there due to all the flowers laid on the grass. I have noticed them on the M62 on the grass and a fair few unmarked cars pulling cars over on the hard shoulder.

They usually have the speed recorded and are waiting in the road well before you even notice you're done. If you have got past without someone standing in the road with a hand out, you should be OK.
