just seeing who takes a car to their first year at uni and whats the parking like etc, can you afford it all ok?

i'm slowly going through my student loan paying for petrol to get to uni, but i would of spent more living there.

I drive in everyday and it works out a hell of a lot cheaper than living there. 35 mile round trip, so i prob spend a fiver a day on petrol and bridge toll. Parking is free.
Also better than staying, my uni is a bit of a sausagefest and my gf stays in next village here so I still get laid, unlike any of mates that stay at uni

Don't need one, everywhere is walking distance away. I have no where to park it either... Also, I have a Youg Persons Railcard which makes trains dead cheap

i didn't bother takin mine last year so i sold it an haven't bothered buying one since and its saved me a fortune so far, even if i do have to put a bit of petrol in the parents cars when i use them.
If your in the city you find theres just no point in havin a car cos you've got buses an trains 2 get about an with a rail card etc. its pretty cheap.

I take the train saves money and parking would be a bitch. use the car when I go in it at weekend and nights though

ive got both of mine at uni with me can afford it ok as one of them isnt on teh road and dont really drive that far.

I sold mine everything is walking distance, and the parking isnt free! oh and i'm doing Transport + Product design would you class that as arty stuff vibs?

Ive had 1 in all three years of uni so far - left it at home this term seeing as its got no bumpers on though
