Why not? i thought that Diesels were strong enough. It's like any form of tuning, engine will never last as long as standard once tuned.


you can tune a turbo engine which has low comp pistons can hold up to 3 bar boost as isuzu very strong and tunable but Normal aspirated engine y will have problems as high comp pistons also y need to change many part like fuel pump ,turbo thermostat as lates isuzu had water cooled turbo, bigger oil cooler

Theres a lad on Novaload who has fitted this lump to his Nova. You can tune the 1.7 with the standard turbo to about 120bhp before the turbo runs out of puff.

Y can use a frontera turbo rhb5 just fits in same mainfold flung. 1.7 is rhb4

I was wondering about that, I was thinking one from the 3.1 Isuzu would fit, but not seen the flange to check. Good to know that

1.7 turbo (17TD) is RHB4W, 1.5 turbo (15TD) is RHB32. Frontera turbo (28TD) RHF5. Are you sure the frontera turbo fits the flange cossie?

you can fit the frontera front mount intercooler but not sure bout the turbo, some people fit the frontera front mount intercooler to the lets on corsa and novas

on the subject of bigger td engines into a corsa, i was curious would a 2.3 td engine out of a frontera fit into a corsa if you used a fwd gearbox

i m running a 1.7td, without an intercooler I had 93bhp and 169 lbft at the flywheel with an intercooler that was just running 20psi of boost
