What do people think of cutting down number plates?
im thinking about cutting the edges off of mine so that there is no excess, and only the numbers and letters. only problem i have is that there the 2 screws are quite far apart from each other, so if i cut it down im going to have two screw holes, as the numberplate wont hide it anymore. also, i will have to stick it on with double sided tape.

whats your opinion on this?

this is my cars numberplates (phone pictures):

I don't think it looks right if the plates are smaller than the recesses are designed for, but that's just my opinion

Id keep them and just buy a smaller plate as you do know you can get pulled if you dont have standard plates on and its always handy to have your originals in the boot

The plates are big enough to cover both front and rear holes
