righto my new car is is chichester (west sussex) miles away from me edinburgh in sunny old scotland
i have 2 options,,
1.fly down to gatwick(cheapest flight to a nearby airport) then hop on a train and go get my car give it a quick check up then drive the distance back! car has no tax so i would need to get it while down there if i can find an open post office, the car was hardly used as its the previous owners second car so il be hopeing that the 410 miles of motorway driving doesnt cause any problems that render me fu(ked, spend a few bob in petrol and have at least a 7-8 hour drive back home depending on traffic
or
2. spend 250+vat geting my mates misses firm to bring it upto me on the back of a transporter?? problem with this is i dont get to see my car until its dropped off at my door
would yous spend a few grand on a car yous have never seen before just to save all the possible hastle of geting it taxed and driving a good 410 mile journey
i vote for 1 but kirsty thinks 2 is the better idea
i hate cars

Number 1 for def, that way if anything is wrong with the car you'll find out that day and not a few days later

Can't you pay him some extra money to get the car some Tax prior to you getting there?
Would probably be better to get a Plane straight to Southampton Airport anyway. Then get a train from Parkway Station.

T'was an absolute shitter, but it still ran, killed it on the TG Test Track eventually, then stripped it, made the interior and engine into a lounge suite and sold the lot on ebay for a couple of grand
What I'm gettin at is that they seem to be pretty sturdy cars, if it's been mot'd it'll prob make it ok (fingers crossed)...
